2021 was gone, and it left a lot mixed emotions. As I sit at my desk, writing my first post for 2022, I feel full of hope. It has been difficult for us all over the past two years. It has been difficult for me to not see my elderly parents in over 2 years. I don’t know if they will be able to visit me soon because of covid international travel restrictions. The good news is that my in-laws and I just went to Florida for a wonderful holiday. These outfits were a favorite of mine and should be shared. Here’s my 2021 outfit recap for warm winter getaways!
Warm Winter Getaways Outfit Review – Travel Day
You probably know that I am obsessed with airport style. I’m always on the lookout for new inspirations in order to create a stylish yet comfortable travel look. I’m not the kind of girl who walks around in heels. This is the look I wore to travel. It can be difficult to plan your travel outfits when you are moving from cold weather to hot. This is my go-to formula:
Three layers of top and one layer of bottom. I recommend a base layer that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed in confined spaces. Cardigans are great for the middle layer. They can be worn over almost anything and can be taken off or put on easily. A short coat can be worn as a top layer, or carried in your bag for convenience. The airplane look looks great and is practical.
After I had planned what I would wear on my travel day, I started packing the rest of my vacation outfits based upon the weather forecast for the next 10 days and the occasion.

The first two days in Florida were cold and wet. It was so useful that I had this lightweightturtleneck with me! For a more formal look, I added a velvet cami to my outfit when I went out for dinner. This look is fluid and harmonious when worn with wide-leg sweatpants. This is a different way you can wear the turtleneck as shown in ‘s previous post.

This is the day we settled in after our arrival. This is a day of “chill”, when we run around to do all the necessary errands for the remainder of our stay. An oversized t-shirt and jeans shorts with sneakers make a great outing ensemble. It’s strange to be able wear a short-sleeved t-shirt in summer, but it is possible! Basics like a baseball hat are not only essential, but also necessary for sunny places.

After 2 years of living with pandemics, this vacation was very special for us. After 2 years of living with pandemics, I was more focused on holiday spirit. Red plaid is the perfect way to express how much I yearn for holiday togetherness. The small pouch added a little cuteness to the slightly large dress.

Christmas Day was a casual day for me as I cook at home. That day, I only wore a red tee and shorts.

This was my favorite evening of the entire vacation. My daughter was able to stay at home with her grandparents so we went on a date night just for me and my husband. Omicron was screaming so we were reluctant to go out, but we made it happen! You don’t realize how important it is until you do it. I’ve never worn a blazer with shorts before. I was surprised at how comfortable it made me feel.

Because I was feeling very bloated throughout the vacation, I brought two sets of swim suits. I only wore one because it was so uncomfortable. The cover-up skirt that I purchased at the end last summer is amazing! It is easy to wear and flatters the figure. It’s semi-sheer, crocheted-lace design makes you feel confident and secure.
Deep V one-piece in black is another favourite that makes me feel confident and secure. Accessorize with sunglasses and a baseball cap to make it look effortless chic.

It’s not enough to have lazy brunches on vacation. This outfit perfectly captures the tropical feeling I yearn for in winter, with its orange and cream color scheme. The organza blouse, which is semi sheer, is elegant and romantic. It’s perfectly balanced with high-waisted linen shorts and sneakers.
